We took a beloved anime series—Dragonball Z—and overdubbed iconic scenes. Using the original voice actors, we satirized traditional advertising by unabashedly pushing Ford features. After the incredible success of the first two Overdubs, we continued to cater to this audience by dubbing Sailor Moon, Metal Gear Solid, Captain Planet, and the Power Rangers, too.
Results:
• 6.1M views during a 2-week flight, 41% from earned media
• Nearly 90 articles from media outlets
• Awareness lift: 9ppt for Fusion and 4ppt for Focus
• 78K incremental shoppers in the Ford funnel
• Sailor Moon's Ford Fusion Dream made Google's YouTube Ad Leaderboard for Nov 2016 and Dec 2016
